Benedikt Kronberger


Benedikt Kronberger, Partner at btov, joined the firm in 2011 and is responsible for the management of new and existing investments. Prior to btov, Benedikt worked in corporate development for the Austrian oil & gas company OMV, and in M&A for Rothschild. He also co-founded two start-ups.

Before embarking on his career, Benedikt studied International Business Administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration, International Management at the Community of European Management Schools (CEMS), and Public Administration In International Development at Harvard’s Kennedy School.

It’s fun to work with motivated and very smart people, but I also enjoy the large amounts of personal responsibility and diversity of our job.

  • Expertise in / interest in the following areas: I’m particularly enthusiastic about impact investing and entrepreneurship, especially in developing countries, as I believe entrepreneurship is a key ingredient for reducing poverty. Unfortunately, at btov we don’t invest in these geographies, so I’ve focused more specifically on enterprise software in recent years.

BK -Mutual trust, honesty, openness, down-to-earthness.

BK -Autonomous cars / air taxis.

BK -Clean technologies so that we can still stop climate change and new therapies for cancer.

BK -The varied activity. It’s fun to work with motivated and very smart people but I also enjoy the large amounts of personal responsibility.

BK -Sports - especially running and cycling.

BK -First dentist, then drummer.
