Executive and Team Assistant

Before becoming an Executive and Team Assistant at btov Partners, Vera worked in various roles across the hospitality, health and luxury retail sectors. Originally from Nuremberg, she moved to Berlin to pursue her career but is trying her best not to lose her franconian dialect.

Outside the office, Vera loves to travel and spend time with her family, friends and dog.

Q -Which values are important to you and drive you?
VH -Respect, recognition and appreciation for everyone and everything.
Q -Which technology or which trend inspires you the most?
VH -Anything that makes everyday life easier, like simple things like wireless headphones.
Q -What do you like most about your job?
VH -To be needed and to be a relief and support for others.
Q -What has been your greatest success so far?
VH -The satisfaction with my work.
Q -What surprised you when you started working in venture capital?
VH -What an incredible amount of good ideas there are. It surprised me how many ideas we get every week and it’s wonderful to see how many people out there, ready to change our future.
Q -Do you have a passion that you pursue besides work?
VH -Travelling and discovering the world.
Q -What did you want to be when you were little?
VH - I wanted more than anything to become a singer.
Q -What makes you special, what is typical for you?
VH -I’m definitely a little bit impatient. That is definitely helpful when organising others - but I don’t always love that character trait… :-P
Q -What are indispensable tools in your everyday life?
VH -The Internet - Hail Mary Sir Tim Berners-Lee - and of course Whatsapp. Which I of course never use whilst working. Never.
Q -Which person impresses you the most?
VH -That is definitely my mom. Strongest woman I know.
Q -Do you have a person who has particularly influenced you in your life, or one who has influenced you significantly?
VH -My circle of friends. They always lead me to the right path, share their views of life with me and that gives me a completely new perspective on the situation in which I might have reacted differently without their opinion.
