Since 2003, Markus, born in 1962, is managing director of Gloria Haus- und Gartengeräte GmbH, the market leader in its segment for spraying devices today. Besides he is Chairman of the Supervisory Board of IWL AG, a logistical company which offers a broad know-how in logistics, logistic-IT and project management.
From 1992 on, he was responsible for the departments of engineering and logistics / IT and from 1996 to 2002 also Board member at GARDENA. Prior to joining GARDENA, he worked in the US for 3 years, where he also attended an executive program at the University of Berkeley. In addition, he was co-founder and chairman of the supervisory board of the Fa. Openshop in 1998, which successfully went public in March 2000. Openshop was the pioneering provider of e-commerce software and was merged with the USU AG in 2002. Markus studied production engineering and industrial engineering at the universities of Ulm / Pforzheim and graduated in 2000. He completed a top management executive program in St. Gallen.
