Hans-Peter Ide has studied at the University of Hamburg and holds degrees in business administration (Dipl. Kaufmann) and teaching commercial subjects (Dipl. Handelslehrer).
After his studies, he started working as a consultant in Germany and other countries. As part of a consulting project, he took over the management of a large company located in Lower Saxony/Germany which produced concentrated feed. After that, he started a company which produced calf milk in Pennsylvania/USA, together with another investor. Five successful years later, he returned to his hometown Hamburg and became Managing Director of a catering company with a European scope of activities. After a successful management buy-out, he led a large catering company with about 70 subsidiaries and a broad range of activities, e. g. provision of catering services at the Frankfurter Messe GmbH.
Today, Hans-Peter Ide has sold a large share of the company which he has led successfully for more than 20 years. He considers himself as “partly retired” – but nonetheless, he has started to make new investments in new companies through b-to-v. He is married and has three kids.
