Dr. Stefan Morschheuser

Dr. Stefan Morschheuser, born in 1967, is internet entrepreneur and -investor. He lives in Berlin together with his wife and two children.

After receiving his university-entrance diploma and studiying computer science, he took his Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Mertens at the University Erlangen-Nurnberg. During his studies, he worked for IBM France in Paris for a year in the context of a program that was promoted by the EU.

Immediately after receiving his Ph.D., Stefan started his first internet company, the e-commerce marketplace Atrada AG, in 1995. The company was sold to Deutsche Telekom in 2001. The foundation of further companies followed, as for example the hotel booking platform hotel.de AG (IPO in 2006, sale to HRS in 2011), the life coaching portal viversum GmbH (sale to adviqo AG in 2010) as well as the attorney directory anwalt.de AG. At anwalt.de, Stefan still serves actively on the board. Furthermore, he invests as a business angel in young companies in the IT and Internet sector.
