Dr. Peter Jochum
After studying mathematics and physics at the LMU in Munich and earning a doctorate in mathematics Dr. Peter Jochum founded the software company Softron GmbH in 1984. Within 15 years he grew Softron into a fully featured chromatography supplier with 120 employees in 5 countries. After selling his company to Dionex Corp in 1999 he became Vice President HPLC at Dionex where he was responsible for its worldwide liquid chromatography business. In 2009 Dr. Jochum was promoted to Senior Vice President of Dionex. Dionex was acquired by Thermo-Fisher Corp in 2011 where Dr. Jochum served as General Manager/VP responsible for Thermo’s worldwide HPLC business.
